Jenn & Matt | Hamilton Engagement Photography

Jenn & Matt’s Hamilton Engagement session combined all my favourite ways to do engagement sessions. We started off at their house and then moved to Gage Park, which is close to their house and a Hamilton classic. I have said it 100000000x and will say it 100000000x more - in-home sessions are my favourite. In-home sessions add an extra level of meaning to the photos and you’re in a familiar place so you start off just thaaat much more comfortable. I find most of my favourite sessions are ones that take place in people’s homes because of that extra comfort level. This is true for engagement and family photos! But also when you have a kitchen like that (cue all the heart-eye emojis), you definitely want to feature it in your photos!

If you’re not feeling staying at home for your photos, I also typically recommend choosing a place that is meaningful/or that you visit frequently/ or that is nearby to your home, for the exact same reasons. This engagement session combined both. After hanging out at Jenn & Matt’s for a bit, we relocated to Gage Park - another favourite spot of mine to take photos in Hamilton.

I am slowly catching up with my blogging after a very busy year, and while this session took place in the summer and their wedding has already happened, I still wanted to blog it. You will likely see Jenn & Matt’s dreamy Ancaster Mill Wedding photos grace the blog soon too.
